The Courteeners - That Kiss

I’m writing about this band because I’m going to make a prediction, that The Courteeners are on the brink of international stardom. I mean, they’re already filling venues with almost 7,000 people, they’ve played at major tours and festivals like O2 and Walk the Line and Morrissey is a big fan of their stuff.

Off of their first studio album, St. Jude, “That Kiss” isn’t The Courteeners claim to fame but I think I like to make things difficult for myself - in falling for bands by listening to their lesser known songs and working my way up. Plus, That Kiss has a great retro vibe and makes  The Courteeners seem like they belong in a bygone era.

I love the simple guitar and drums that push the song forward to a chorus that instantly gets caught in your head. I also love that you can hear lead singer’s Liam Fray’s accent through his singing.

This song is awesome.

It’s sad how young girls think it’s cool to be whores these days. It’s also sad how much of a big deal being in a relationship is for them. These kids should enjoy their youth. Hang out with friends, get in trouble with the biggest consequence is being grounded. The priorities they have now make me fear for when they become adults. 

My new celebrity crush. He was amazing in X-Men: First class. 

I found this to be pretty awesome.
